The educational app "Das Gelbe vom Ei" provides general information on the subject of eggs and aims to sensitize users to a healthy, ecologically sound approach to eggs as a foodstuff.
How did we come to deal with the topic of eggs? According to the Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag, the average German citizen consumed around 214 eggs last year. An upward trend in egg consumption can be observed. At the same time, there has been and continues to be a shift in society towards a healthy diet and environmentally friendly food. According to studies, eggs are the most frequently purchased organic product in Germany. But how do environmentally conscious consumers know that they have bought the right egg? Were the hens kept in a species-appropriate way? And above all, what makes the perfect egg? These are just some of the many questions that consumers in Germany ask themselves. Nevertheless, there are hardly any media and publications that provide adequate information on this topic.
