The "Interaction Design" module provides basic knowledge and skills in interactive design. Students learn to design appealing and user-friendly interactive products and prepare themselves for advanced courses in the field of interaction design.
The "Computer Graphics" module teaches the design-relevant and technical basics of visualization and image composition in virtual reality. The focus is on the independent planning and development of a CGFX-based still image.
The specialist module "Interactive Storytelling" includes the subjects "Screenplay and Storyboard" and "Video Production". Interactive video films are conceived, directed, produced and published as part of the specialist module.
The subject "Motion Design" deals with the communication of information by means of animated media elements. In addition to drawings/graphics, the basis for this is primarily lens-based media, i.e. media elements that are originally created with photo and video cameras.
In the "E-learning" module, students acquire didactic principles for interactive learning processes and design media-didactic concepts and interactive applications. They learn to plan and implement projects in a team-oriented manner, create content from different perspectives and implement their knowledge in their own learning application.
The "User Experience Design" module conveys current knowledge about human behavior in digital product development. Students are able to evaluate, design and prototype holistic user experiences of digital media. They are able to work independently on complex problems and apply basic psychological knowledge to create positive user experiences.
TheBachelor's thesisis the last major project with which DM students complete their studies. In the Bachelor's thesis, students can choose from the focus areas of the degree program and must work independently on a project in consultation with the supervising professor. The Bachelor's thesis consists of a theoretical elaboration and a practical application.
The "Advanced photography course" is a continuation of the compulsory subject "Photography". In the first part of the advanced course, students learn advanced studio techniques and combine these with image processing methods to develop advertising photographs. In the second part, they work on their own, thematically related photographic project.
"0t1" sees itself as a playground and experimental field for digital design. Here we deal with future-oriented technologies, question media consumption and the attention economy and find joy in the creative exploration of design challenges.
