Welcome to our ‘Motion Design’ selection page!
The ‘Motion Design’ module focuses on conveying information through animated media elements. In this module, we concentrate primarily on lens-based media – that is, media elements originally created using photo and video cameras. A particular focus of the course is on content and design conception. Students learn to explore a topic in depth, structure it in terms of content and concept (script), develop coherent visual storytelling (storyboard and animatic), and realise the whole project in an audiovisually engaging way in the form of an animation (Motion Design).
Each year, Prof. Manfred Gaida sets the students a specific semester theme, which they are then free to interpret as they wish.
