User Experience Design 2021
In the summer semester 2021, our task was to find an answer to technological challenges, which we had previously explored in our book presentations. These answers should be constructive and creative solutions that deal with a future-oriented user experience.
The first essential step was to name the project. The name "f.rankly" elegantly combines the principles of the idea. Originally, the name is made up of the terms "friendly" and "rankly", which on the one hand refer to the project's tier system and on the other hand to the particularly personal interaction that should prevail between the user and the function.
In an imaginary update of iOS, Frank replaces Siri's role as a digital smart assistant. Siri mainly helps the user from a passive position and only responds to the commands intended for her. f.rankly goes one step further and gives Frank a more active role in the operating system.
Frank engages in an open dialog with the user and defines a set goal with him. If this is not followed up, Frank appears, similar to how the app limits for screen time already work in current iOS versions. At this point, the user's behavior is reflected and it is made clear that actions that do not achieve the goal have consequences.
